Rolls Royce will Develop Electric Cars in Future

Everyone knows about Rolls-Royce,and there exclusive car manufacturing. Now here is the twist, the company is planning to help the global warming cause by building electric versions of there cars probably as plug-in hybrids. But can the company really take on this task !!.

The company's new CEO Tom Purvis believe that they have to be more efficient in much-tougher inner-city CO2 legislation and the fact that full torque is available from a standstill. He is sure that, there is technology to make the Rolls-Royce cars work on electric power.

The assurance of making an electric Rolls-Royce can't be given but yes the technology that is available today,we can expect anything.

  1. Hmmm? Rolls-Royce is a little "behind" the times don't you think?

The problem with plug-in Hybrids, is that people forget (or don't know) that it will not just make their home's electricity bill go UP^, but that it will go up by a Magnitude!

Of course, if you are no longer paying for "gas"... and as long as you don't travel any further than 80miles total in a day... then it might be worth it. But then again, you would still have to have your house re-wired to support a charging center... and that's going to cost you! Plus, you will have the additional cost of replacing "batteries", which will probably cost as much as a total overall of a gasoline engine. So I don't know. What do you think?

  3. I think it is a very wise idea to rolls royce to consider developing electric cars which are environment friendly. We all have to be concerned about the air pollution which is threatening to effect human health and with the increasing amount of gas vehicles we are but heading towards trouble. Therefore it is a very prudent decision. Hats off to them!
