Ping - Gesture Hoodie for Using Facebook
When the going gets going there ain't no stopping, same is the case with Facebook. Carrying out such a high number of users, Facebook stands firm as the number one social website in the world. Jennifer Darmour, a designer from Seattle has came up with a very innovative idea of how to use Facebook. She has incorporated gesture technology in a cool Hoodie named 'Ping'. When you wear it up, Facebook use is all a gesture away !.
The hoodie is created using Lilypad and Lilypad Xbee with custom software to interface with Facebook. When you get a notification from a friend, there would be a tap on your shoulder.
Moreover, different tapping rhythm patterns can be used for different friend groups to know exactly which one is communicating with you.
There is also a Facebook application which allows you to make customizations on Ping.
